Clearwater & Mr. Job

Clearwater Synopsis
Some time ago I read that the Apache tribe was suing the Skull and Bones Society of Yale University for the return of Geronimo’s bones, which were stolen from his grave at Fort Sill in 1919. George W. Bush was in office at that time and he was a member of the Society, as were his father and grandfather, and his opponent in the 2004 race, John Kerry. It struck me as remarkable that this could be the case — that Geronimo’s skull was the skill they kissed when they joined the Society. So I wrote a play about it — what Gray Palmer identified as “perpetrator guilt” animates the play.
